I’m really torn over this book. I absolutely loved the main character, Stella, along with her eccentricities. Her character and voice came across as very real to me. While I was rooting for romance between Michael and Stella, I also felt slightly off-put by certain aspects of their relationships. Michael’s love and adoration of Stella was sweet but I found his possessiveness to be a little cringe-worthy. There was also a lot more sexually explicit material than I was expecting. I don’t particularly love drawn out explanations of sexual acts but I will say the author clearly has strong writing skills. In the end, I was happy with the story overall. I especially love the inclusion of neurodiverse characters. I plan on reading the author’s other works.
