The cute illustrative romance covers are calling my name! The Kiss Quotient was highly regarded in the romance community and I'm glad that I picked this up. Helen Hoang has created a heartwarming story that centers on clear consent and mutual respect between the main characters. The lead character, Stella Lang, has asperger's (the novel is #ownvoices) and grows throughout the novel as she explores her boundaries and her own strengths in the bedroom with east asian hearthrob Michael Phan, who creates an environment of support and trust. This is like no other romance I’ve read this far and I love it all the more. What makes this book so important is that it demonstrates how easy it is to communicate consent in any relationship and how steamy that conversation can be.
