So many of my book friends have nothing but positive things to say about this book. I’ve seen it listed on several top reads list for 2018. I’ve been wanting to read but I was leery. Based on my history, I haven’t done well with “hype” books but I’m happy to report this book worked out it my favor!
Stella is autistic and I don’t ever recall reading a character with this diagnosis before and it was very refreshing. I used to work in the special needs field and the author portrayed Stella very accurately which was a huge plus!
I really liked Michael because he stopped at nothing when it came to taking care of his family. He had such a heart of gold and I loved the way he loved and protected Stella and saw past her diagnosis, even when she couldn’t. *Swoon*
I listened to the audio book and the narrator, Carly Robins did such an AMAZING job with the story. Robins nailed all the side characters as well. I felt all the emotions the characters felt and I highly recommend this audio book!
