I finished this in one day/ night, finally, after hearing lots and lots about it from my bookstagram friends. And phew. They prepared me for all the steam, but my Midwestern heart was definitely blushing a little still as I read it!

What I loved: This is an #ownvoices novel and only the second book I've found with characters on the Autism spectrum that writes them well (that's not to say there aren't others, but this was so well done). To see accurate (to my experiences with individuals on the spectrum who I've been close to), not over dramatized, not generalized, really well done and relatable characters made this book for me.

Some have critiqued the premise itself as being very unrealistic but this didn't bother me as no romance is "realistic" that I've stumbled upon. This met my expectations and I was rooting for Stella to love who she was and find love from start to finish. I was rooting for Michael too. There's lots and lots of steamy moments which I knew going in so that wasn't a problem, but the plot itself fits the romance genre and it swept me in.

I'd recommend it if: you love romance novels, don't mind a lot of steamy scenes, and want to diversify your romance shelf.
