I am not a fan of romance books, so when I decided to get The Kiss Quotient in my Book of the Month subscription box, I was getting out of my comfort zone a little. Part of what drew me to the book was Stella, who has asperger's. Her characterization was really good, and her character was incredibly likeable... Michael, not so much. While he had his good moments, I mostly found myself annoyed by him. The ending was good, though the development of their relationship seemed a little rushed. Not quite insta-love, but it would have been nice to see it develop more. The sex scenes were steamy, but in a classy way (definitely not like the Fifty Shades series). While I did find this book enjoyable overall, I am not sure I'd agree with it being chosen as the best romance of 2018 by Goodreads.
