This was a very fun romance with really likable characters, low conflict, and pretty good rep. [as far as I can tell] in its biracial Vietnamese/white main male character and its female character, who is autistic. It's also pretty cool that the book is ownvoices for autistic representation. Stella, the central character, does not fully fall into stereotypes, and instead she's presented (in sections from her own point-of-view) as being a well-rounded, nuanced person who happens to have autism, and whose autism has influenced her life in highly positive and sometimes less positive ways. In a sense, it's the inciting trait that catalyzes the book, since her methodical approach to and former hesitation in relationships means she hires an escort. This premise had the potential to be problematic, but I thought it was executed in excellent, sex-work-positive ways (and what a fantasy, also). I loved the relationship dynamic that developed between the characters.
