A big must for me in the rom/com genre are the characters and their personal growth throughout the book. As humans we all have our flaws, but we can also learn and grow from them and seeing that in a book gives me all the warm and fuzzies which is what this book was able to do.
The book centers around the two main characters Stella and Michael. Stella has Asperger's and thinks she is really bad at relationships, specifically when it comes to the intimate parts. Therefore, she hires Michael, a male escort, to teach her how to become better. Reading the synopsis of this book had me a little thrown and I was not sure if I was going to like the book due to the idea of paying for sex lessons. Yet the author did a great job of making both Stella and Michael realistic characters and didn't let the book get stale. By the end of the book it is apparent that the main characters grew and developed from the struggles faced in the book.
Although I really enjoyed the book, there were some parts that were a bit too on the cheesy side for my liking. Not that that is always a bad thing but there were too many of the eye roll incidents, in my case, to be able to give this a full 5 stars but I definitely loved the characters and recommend this book for anyone who needs a quick, sexy, fun love story.
