I absolutely loved Helen Hoang's debut novel. It was funny yet serious enough, with a clever plot and a twist on a classic Pretty Woman tale. I adored the characters, both Stella and Michael were truly unforgettable.
Sometimes I dislike one of the characters in a couple but this time I truly loved both! Stella was sweet, kind and a little naive but so lovable, and Michael was her opposite and yet her perfect counterpart. Just the best pairing ever!
I also loved the acknowledgments. How beautiful that the author's daughter inspired her to start a journey of self-discovery.
I can't wait to pick up the next novel from this author once it comes out. So excited!
Would recommend to: fans of The Hating Game for sure! And if you like rom com movies but wish they were a bit more diverse/unique, you'll love this!
