Never Met a Character Like This Protagonist

Stella Lane certainly has a unique problem. I am not sure I've read a book previously in which a character was repulsed by sex. Is Stella going to be the foil to women characters in traditional Romance genre novels? That could be interesting to find out. I wonder if the author purposely made Stella naive about sexually transmitted diseases; it would be worrisome if someone in this day and age truly believed that sex-partners-for-hire could be guaranteed as free from all STDs. This book does not waste any time presenting the problem and the start of the solution. The cover design is more whimsical than the writing, so I am curious about the outcome!
