The Kings of B’more follows two teenaged best friends through a few days leading up to 1 friend moving away. A lot of the dialog, especially the inner dialog, in the book is exactly the way my friends and I talk to each other, and precisely what my inner voice would say in the same situation so I found it quite relatable in that way.
After watching Ferris Beulers Day Off, 1 friend decides to have a special ‘Ferris Day’ in order to do everything before moving day. Of course, now, with tracking apps and over protective parents, sneaking around is a bit more difficult. Ferris Day is planned for a Saturday, and he gets permission for both of them to take the day off from their job, but that doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing for these boys!! Getting chased through museums, bumping into family members and, of course, potential love interests makes B’more Ferris Day 1 wild ride!!
