This was the perfect summer and pride month kick off book. It was a fun "adventure" story where our two protagonists decide to check off everything on their bucket list in an adventure that will wrap up their last summer together. This was a story about the importance of friendship and I liked that the friendships weren't pushed aside so that a romance would take center stage. It was a nice change up from the usual contemporary book formula that gets really old and tired, this book was a breath of fresh air. I appreciated the diversity that was just casually mentioned. It wasn't like a "big thing" and I didn't feel like R. Eric Thomas was working through a diversity check box these two felt like real people who had real problems, thoughts, and reactions. I will say that it seems a little long, I wish it was about 50-75 pages shorter. All in all, a fun contemporary novel.
