Eh

I didn’t really enjoy this story I felt that the characters were not very well fleshed out. I didn’t feel that Michael was more likable that the other characters even though we are supposed to watch him develop over time and grow and change. I feel that it never really happened. He was very whiny and makes incredibly poor decisions and I know that was a way to move the story along but I think really just found him kind of unbearable. Guns in a fantasy was not something I had expected but it was a pleasantly surprise it was different and did something a bit different which is always nice to see. I just think the writing style just is not to my taste and that’s ok.
I found it really hard to get through this book and I really don’t recommend this book to the average Adult Fantasy reader. It took me two try’s to finally read through the book all of the way.
