The concept of memories as currency is interesting, but I don't know that I am really compelled by the synopsis. I thought it was a bit strange that a man was executed immediately for possession of a firearm, but the main character had a trial and was sentenced to death at a later date for regicide. The book sort of reads as if it is a letter, directly engaging the reader.
