While this is marketed as an adult fantasy novel, I can see where some of my older high school students will enjoy this one. It definitely seems on brand for what is big right now in YA lit. The first-person point of view is always something I like when reading, too. While this doesn't look like it's going to be an easy-breezy read, after reading this "first look," I can see where there is a lot of appeal to those readers who prefer this genre.
