A thrilling fantasy novel! I was pulled in almost immediately by the first chapter. The writing style, the mystery of the characters, the story world, and the beasts especially, make for an intriguing novel.
There were some bits of foul language scattered in, and quite a bit of blood and violence. Some uses of "d---," "s---," and "f---" (and the like). "S---" was used in the very first sentence.
Aside from the language and mention of other questionable content, this story is most definitely a page turner--you won't want to put it down! The characters all have such mystery in them, you can't help but wonder at the secrets they hold. The beasts give you a 'Fantastical Beasts' kind of feel. Can't wait to learn more!
