When I read that this book was being promoted as “Fantastic Beasts meets Assassin's Creed,” I knew that I wanted to read it since Assassin’s Creed is one of my favorite video game franchises and I really enjoyed the Fantastic Beasts movie. After reading this book, I would definitely say that this book reminds of Pokémon (another favorite) more so than Assassin’s Creed. I wouldn’t say that this necessarily detracted from the story because I ended up still enjoying it in spite of this. I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Leena and her beasts and seeing how the relationship between Noc and Leena develops throughout the book. I felt that this book was a really unique one and I had never really read something like Leena’s world. My favorite part by far was reading about the different magical beasts.
