Oh my lordy! I LOVED this book! I would've devoured it in one day if, you know, sleep and life didn't get in my way!
I love the characters. The main ones and the side ones. Leena is incredible, Noc is wonderful, Calem is such a charmer and so funny! Even serious Kost got into my heart. They're all important to the story in some way or another and all do their jobs.
The storyline, I loved it! I've always been a huge Pokemon fan and this book gives me HUGE Pokemon vibes. I love the bond between Charmer and Beast. I wish the beasts were mentioned and involved a bit more but I'm hoping book #2 goes more into that territory, at least.
The author did a wonderful job on this book. The world building was done amazingly. The character depth and growth were done perfectly. I really have no complaints besides the one above about more beasts involvement.
