I can see myself really enjoying this, but I can also see this ending up as not the right book for me. The plot and setting sound like something I'd be into, but the characters felt a bit off putting. Felt like I wasn't the intended audience for what seems like a book where the female characters only exist for the pleasure of the men in the story. I mean, Amber is only 16! And she comments that a 25 year old women was incredibly old? If the women are able to stand on their own two feet and develop into real characters, I'm up for this book, if not, then no thank you.
