Another great look at the Courtney and Ballantyne families!

I have been a fan of Wilbur Smith for some time and the release of a new book involving the Courtney and Ballantyne families is always a delight. When Penrose Ballantyne’s watch is stolen it leads to a chase through the streets of Cairo that invokes a scene from Indiana Jones. Rather than a random theft, it was staged to provide an opportunity for Lady Agatha to cause a rift between Penrose and his fiancée. I look forward to discovering the repercussions of Lady Agatha’s interference and where it will take these characters.
