I loved this book! I am so happy that this fictional yet relatable story is being told and this author the character have this platform to be a voice that is not represented in literature nearly enough.
The story tackles some very big topics around feminism and gender identity and race. It’s not always an easy read but it’s honest and a conversation that needs to be had.
The main character Juliet is also hard not to love. She’s trying to figure herself out and in her journey to create her own identity she learns a lot and is brave - she asks questions, she feels her emotions, and she is honest about her feelings and fears. I feel like as the reader I also was on this journey with her and I’m glad I got the chance!
