This is a wonderful story about a young latina woman, Juliet, who is discovering who she is after coming out to her Puerto Rican family. She is excited to be chosen as an intern to her favorite author, Harlowe, who writes about lesbian sexuality, the power of caring for yourself, and being a feminist.

Juliet finds out that Harlowe's brand of feminism is rooted in whiteness and Juliet is having trouble discovering how she might fit in. It isn't until she discusses with her cousin and other non-white feminists that she learns about intersectional feminism and how to make her own place in the world.

The writing is captivating and Juliet is an authentic character who grows as her story progresses. This is a perfect book for anyone wanting to explore identity.
