This book is about a Puerto Rican lesbian from The Bronx who's an intern for her favorite author. Along the way, she learns about herself and her identity.

I was excited to pick up this book because I love to review stories with LGBTQIA+ representation. I was also ecstatic to hear about a character who has asthma since I suffer from Samter's Triad. Unfortunately, it isn't exactly a new favorite of mine. Overall, the book is okay, but I had a hard time finishing. Even though so much was going on, I wasn't a fan of the presentation; it felt dragged out.

While this personally wasn't one of my favorite new releases, I would still recommend giving it a shot. I believe this book will garner very mixed reviews. It's a love it or hate it kind of read. Objectively, it's not bad, it just wasn't for me.
