I liked the plot of Juliet Takes A Breath. Though it's common in the YA genre. However, I've most often read about male characters who belong to LGBTQ and less about homosexual women. That's refreshing.

I found the protagonist, Juliet, somewhat problematic. She is quite ignorant about the world around her and also about her own identity. Apart from some clichéd notions she's unaware of a lot of things about life. And it's not that she's uneducated, she goes to school.
That said, the quality of writing was commendable. I enjoyed experiencing Juliet's transformation.

I listened to the audiobook as well and the narrator was amazing. Her pitch was soothing, her voice modulations were great. I could recognise on character from the other.
