I love the letter that opens the novel. The topic and honesty of it and it’s language are things that we need more of in this day and age. I’m glad that same honestly continues within the excerpt, exploring many serious topics. I think Juliet is very brave, especially when she came out to her family; I wanted to hug her when her mom would not. I really believe this novel could be helpful to some people.
