The first thing I loved about this book was the cover. It instantly set you up with an honest, real, bad girl who knows what she stands for. You can tell that this book is going to touch on race, culture, and gender injustice. The book instantly drew me in with the frank statements, cut throat descriptions and ability to make you feel as if you are in her world, seeing what she sees and hearing what she hears.
