I really enjoyed this book. The author really nailed down the struggles of having an addict in the family. The pain and heartbreak of wanting to help them but the shame and embarrassment of dealing with them when they are intoxicated.The rehab place seemed nice kinda like the one in Florida my sister went to, I am glad the author did show a little how art therapy can really help people. I enjoyed reading the book from all three ladies points of view.The poetry that is in this book is very good. This book also shows how different people struggle with grief. This book did kinda show the struggles that interracial couples do struggle. I do wish the author did include that it’s not only white people that give them a problem for loving each other. My husband has been asked a many of time what you think your too good for us. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it. And I will have to try the fishing trick.
