Typically I do not gravitate towards feel-good books, so I was excited to step out of my comfort zone with Judge’s Girls. The writing style was easy to follow, and the character driven story was one that I binged over the course of a couple of days. Maya and Ryder were my absolute favorite characters in the book. I loved watching them both stand up for themselves and go after what they truly want. While I think Jeanie had the most growth out of the three characters, she was probably my least favorite of the three women. I would have loved to see more of the Aunts—they were fantastic!

Overall the story was an enjoyable read. At times it felt like there was a lot going on, but I enjoyed the characters and the story that Harris created. I also loved the couple of steamy scenes between Maya and Roland. Judge’s Girls was somehow lighthearted and sad all at the same time—a perfect book to switch things up from the genres I typically gravitate towards.
