I LOVED this book! It was so refreshing and well written! I loved the narration from Maya, Ryder and Jeanie. It really gives you a chance to get to know each character and what makes them tick. This is was a very rare read for me. There were a couple of times that I audible gasped, laughed and shouted "WHAT?" I'm usually a very quiet reader but there are some shocking moments. Maya, Ryder and Jeanie could have very well have been real people. They are so relatable and real. Sharina Harris did an outstanding job!! It was just the book I needed right now. I also liked that it involves very real issues with race. I liked being able to see the Black side of life so I could understand even more. My only one, teeny, tiny, complaint is that we didn't get to see more of Maya's Aunties. Aunt Clara Bell is amazing and I would have loved to have even more of her in the book!
