I loved this excerpt of Judge's Girls! Maya's father has just passed away, and his will asks that her stepmother be allowed to keep living at his house. Maya and her stepmother have never gotten along, but Maya does have a really sweet relationship with her stepsister Ryder. The story is told from all three of their perspectives, and I'm excited to learn more about each of them! I also love that Maya is a skilled lawyer working towards being named partner, and already has a relationship with a really likable love interest. Can't wait to read the rest of the book. The cover is okay, I wish it were more eye-catching!
