This book is very easy to read. The opening at the funeral makes for a great introduction into what could be a some what complicated plot. However, Harris pens Maya's narration perfectly. I feel like I'm sitting right next to Maya in the pew, observing the funeral and learning about family dynamics. I can't wait to read this story in its entirety!
