I don't read much adult fiction, but 'Judge's Girls' definitely reads like a character-driven story. I think the use of 1st person POV allows you to put yourself into the story in an instant. The dynamic between the family and their relationship sounds like it'll be a major point of the story, so its great to see multiple perspectives. Again I just don't read much adult fiction, so I don't have any other opinions on it, but I'm sure many who read more of the genre will definitely enjoy this! It looks like it'll be more about the family coming together and its definitely an interesting read.
