To preface this First Impression, I should say that I don’t tend to love thrillers, since so much of the story depends on somewhat shocking the reader — and going into a story expecting to be shocked kind of lessens the overall oomph a bit. That may have been the case here — I went into the story expecting to have heartpounding thrills from the get-go, but what I read never really grabbed me and made me want to read more. I’ll pass on this one, but hopefully other readers who enjoy thrillers more will enjoy it.
