Ugh this book is SO good. I watched little women already and seeing it come into play with my favorite actors (Saiorse!!!) made me fall in love with the story even more. But as I read the book I really loved how it explored the relationship between Jo and Laurie, which I feel is a pretty complex and difficult one to explroe in a way that does justice to Little Women. I'd also like to mention here that retellings are generally always a hit or miss for me. Sometimes I absolutely love them and I'm obsessed with them, but other times I'm let down with how they treat the original story and wish they had stayed true to more of the story's original themes. With this, I absolutely loved it. I loved the way the characters were explored, how the story progressed, and how realistic and true it stayed to both Jo and Laurie's characters. Nothing felt like a stretch or something that totally wouldn't have happened. And the romance was really cute. Overall I recommend this to anyone that can read.
