How exciting to see that a new book about the lively, lovely, and widely loved little women was just written! Granted, it's not by Louise May Alcott, but our two talented writers here have faithfully recreated the characters and the tone of the original books.
We meet Jo, Amy, Meg and Laurie, as well as other characters from the beginning of "Jo & Laurie" and immediately find in their dialogues and actions Alcott's protagonists that are so familiar to so many readers across the world.
I just wish this book would replace in part Alcott's work so Laurie and Jo could have a happy ending together...but I would be glad nonetheless to read this book in full as an extension to the original story. I cannot wait!
