This was a sweet imagining of some missing moments in the classic Little Women. The beginning started a little slow but once I got into the story it moved much more quickly. The writing was good and I will not deny shedding more than a couple of years at the stubborn characters determined to break their own hearts and mine. Jo is struggling to write her sequel and every time she tries her editor tells her she doesn’t have it right. In this story she struggles to reconcile real life with the life she’s written for the versions in her pages. This was a sweet story and an enjoyable read. Not only was the story good but it seemed to fit in well with the world of it’s inspiration and paid proper tribute to a classic.
