There is potential for this to end up earning 5 stars, depending on where the authors decide Jo’s sequel should go. The writing is very good as is the pace of the first few chapters. It draws the reader right back to the original story. The girls and their mother interact just the same as Louisa May Alcott wrote.

I believe this book will be true to the spirit and tone of the original work and allow the reader answer some questions. The authors have gone to great lengths to make the story seem as believable as possible. Yes, the book has sold well, but that does not translate into immediate wealth and release from their impoverished state. They also touch upon the negative fallout in the form of (apparently slight) resentment towards Jo for the embellishments and half-truths the publisher required her to make. I hope the authors expand on this element as the book unfolds.

Really looking forward to reading the entire book upon its release.
