From the moment I learned of the idea of this book, I knew that I was going to love it. I can remember reading Little Women, the illustrated classic version, when I was young. I know that I did not fully understand what was happening in the book but I loved it all the same. This book is different. I am at a stage in my life in which I understand what is going on and can fully appreciate what Margaret Stohl and Melissa De La Cruz have done with this particular story. I am in awe of how REAL they have made these characters seem as I read through this story. I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation to see how this would play out. It was written in such as way that I could feel the different emotions of Laurie and Jo and even Meg and Amy. I was in mourning with Jo for her losses and her feelings. I identify with the way she questions life and the expectations that are thrust upon her. I love everything about this book. At this moment, I cannot process a single piece that I did not enjoy.
