I really liked this book! Growing up I loved Little Women and have seen all of the film adaptations- the new one with Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet being my favorite because it brought a new light to Amy March, a character I have long loved and related to, and so I didn't exactly expect to love Jo & Laurie very much because I never really liked Jo and Laurie as a couple in the original book or any movie adaptations.
But that being said, I loved this. I'm a fan of Melissa de la Cruz already and the cover was super cute and so was the whole story. A lot of times with these retellings they just miss the mark because the characters no longer sound like the originals... but they didn't miss! I really liked this story even though I didn't expect to, it was very well done and an excellent edition to a classic that will remain timeless forever and ever!
