A Romantic Retelling
To be clear, this is a romantic retelling of the characters in Little Women, it is not about Louisa May Alcott. Following that premise this book is exactly what ot sets out to be- A Romantic Retelling of Jo & Laurie's story.
Honestly there were good parts and bad. It was a bit slow in the beginning and it took a little time to orient myself to this world. However it picked up and I became engrossed. The characters for the most part seemed to remain true to themselves. The best part of the book was by far the relationship Jo had with her family. I adore the March sisters. Reading about them is always a treat and seeing thier interactions and the bond tbey shared was beautiful. For those who wanted Jo and Laurie to end up together this book is for you.
