Whimsical retelling that draws you back into the world of Little Women!

I immediately fell back in love with the Jo that I was enamored with growing up when I read Little Women. The beginning of this story is reminiscent of her strong qualities and made me smile, even though I haven't read that book in a quite a few years, but I think that anyone will enjoy it even if they aren't a Little Women fan because the opening was so fun! Plus, I'm just a fan of retellings in general. I think anyone who can take an already solid story and spin it another way that works is worth a read. Jo & Laurie has already done that for me because I can't wait to see what happens next after only reading three chapters!!

I think the cover of Jo & Laurie is perfect for the book and period of the story. I can imagine that it's Jo standing there, cradling her carefully crafted novel behind her back getting ready to share to it.
