When this story opens, Jo March has just published her first book and is actually making money from it. In fact, the family has oranges on the table for the first time in forever! But, alas! The fame that she did not seek is part of the whole package of being published and she is dealing with the unenviable task of dealing with fan mail and a publisher who wants another book. Jo is also dealing with the the repercussions from her family of how she presented them in LITTLE WOMEN, using literary license more than once to exaggerate and change details of their real lives. Now, she is faced with writing the sequel that that Mr. Niles wants, a sequel in which each sister gets married. What a dilemma authors face! Jo knows she was born to write, but what will be the cost of her writing, to herself, her family and her relationships? I can’t wait to read more! This is so much fun! It’s like I’m sixteen again and reading LITTLE WOMEN for the first time. Oh, joyous day!
