I've got mixed feelings about this story. While I remembered being disappointed Jo and Laurie didn't end up together when I first read Little Women many years ago, it seems like it worked out for the best. Amy seemed far more suited to Laurie as a wife than Jo would have been. I'm not sure I'd want Jo to lose her independence by settling down with Laurie, though it would be fun to read about their adventures in New York.
