First and foremost, I love the cover of this book! The colors, art, and graphic design are all really lovely. It'd love to have this book in real life just to look at the cover!
What caught my eye even more than the cover was the fact that this book is written by two incredibly acclaimed YA writers. As an avid fan of YA books, I've definitely heard of these two women and was very excited to see a book written by them listed here. I have not read anything from either of them yet and definitely found their writing to be great quality. This sample had a great flow to it that made it enjoyable and quick to read. There's also depth in all the characters, no matter how much time they were given on the page.
And to top it all off, I'm already dying to read about Jo and Laurie!
