The first thing that caught my eye was the book cover. Bright colors, pretty flowers, and 2 hummingbirds tie in perfectly with the title. What reeled me in was the synopsis which reveals the book to be a Contemporary Romance, one of my favorite genres. As soon as you open the book to chapter 1, the author does something I haven't seen done very often. She starts with the guy's story and point of view which was very interesting.
There's not much of a wait between the beginning and the point at which the 2 main characters meet. You're immediately brought along for the ride, much like Luis is. The characters are very well developed and the chemistry between the 2 main characters keeps you turning pages. You're invested in the characters fairly quickly and you wonder how this will all go. Will they be able to keep each other at arm's length, or will they let each other in and fall in love? I highly recommend this easy, cute read!
