I’m really sad that I was so disappointed in this book because I had such high hopes for it. I enjoyed the first chapter, but the more we got towards to middle of the book, the more I found I was forcing myself to read it. I did not particularly enjoy the interactions between the heroine and hero. They felt awkward and forced in a way that did not lend itself to the situation they were in. I also had a hard time falling into the suspension of disbelief that someone would go along with the plan concocted. I ended up not finishing this book.
On the other hand, I loved how vibrant the scenery was in this book. The descriptions made it feel like I was there, which I loved. I enjoyed the characters separately, I just did not enjoy their chemistry as it felt like they didn’t really have any.
