I really liked the cultural references this far in the story. I can tell that Luis’ family is close and always in each other business which will obviously have its draw backs and could set this up a series. I didn’t really care for the set up of Luis and Sara’s arrangement and fake relationship scheme. It happened too quickly and seemed not so believable. Also, biggest eye roll at another protagonist with a social media influencer career. I feel like this would be a fun scenic summer book/beach read but I wouldn’t go into it expecting a whole lot depth or heart.

I’m already drawing up some similarities to The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. I enjoyed that book so I’m curious to see if I would enjoy this one.
