The story surrounds the chance meeting between social media influencer Sara Vance and firefighter Luis Navarro. When an arrangement, mutually beneficial to both parties, ends up getting complicated, what will Sara and Luis do?
Given the setting and the romance, it would be apt to call Island Affair a beach read. This escapist, swoon-worthy novel has all of the elements that those who read romance love. I liked the chemistry between Sara and Luis, as well as the witty banter. None of the book is really realistic, but the great thing about the romance genre is that it does not have to be. Island Affair delivers what it promises: a charming romance, brought on by an arrangement that ends up sparking true feelings. The story itself was a little lacking, but those who like romance novels will enjoy getting to know Sara, Luis, and Key West.
