I love the "pretend date" trope and it seems like Oliveras has definitely gone all-out in creating a story that's more than just a rehash of an old trope. There are genuinely good nuggets of interest in what she's written.
The quick peek we get of Luis and Sara is definitely enough to catch my interest. I want to know the dark thing in Luis' past that has him feeling pressure from all sides to take life easy and talk through his trauma. And Sara's desperate need to not upset her family's dynamic while on what's pretty much an enforced vacation sets the stage perfectly for some fun high jinks.
