On paper, this book has many things that interest me: non-white culture, fake relationship, helpful main character, tropical setting, et cetera. Unfortunately, the writing itself just isn’t grabbing my interest. And that’s fine! Not every piece of media is for every person. This story will probably work for a lot of my fellow readers.
