I'm not entirely sure how everyone else read this book but I found myself taking a long time to read it. The book started slow and tragic and after that I just kind of took it super slow. As in, it couldn't capture my attention enough to get things going. Something that contributed to this was how disorienting the story could be at times. It felt like it had so much that it wanted to cover but just didn't have enough pages to do so. I'm also not a big fan of multiple points of views in books and this one had a lot. I did really like that this book was about Native American women, I feel that they're the minority that is least highlighted in any way these days and when they are it's typical to use their culture and I hope that this book will be apart of a trend to normalize stories about this undervalued group of people.
